The Boston Celtics, coming off a banner year, found itself down 3-1 in a best of seven series against the New York Knicks. After dropping the first two games, the team was on the ropes. Then in game 4, their all-star player, Jayson Tatum suffered a season ending Achilles injury. Despite this, the team managed to rally on to a resounding game 5 win. That context gives us all we need for the quote below:
P.S. Joe Mazzulla is incredibly quotable. Do yourself a favor and read some of his press quotes. They’re so amusing. You’ll see what I mean.
